The Leonhardts bring to Michigan a wealth of ministry experience, leadership, and a deep passion for serving the Church of God. Early in their ministry journey, Bishop Mark Leonhardt and Al’Lora served as pastors to youth and children. Stepping into the role of lead pastors, for 17 years they served congregations in Ohio, Alabama, and South Carolina.
Prior to their recent assignment to Michigan, Bishop Leonhardt served as Administrative Bishop of the Church of God in Louisiana. Following the 2026 General Assembly, the Leonhardts began a new season of ministry in Michigan in August 2026, with Bishop Mark Leonhardt serving as State Administrative Bishop and Al’Lora Leonhardt serving as Women’s Ministry Director.
Together, the Leonhardts are committed to serving the Church with integrity and excellence. Their ministry reflects a deep passion for leadership development, mentorship,  and reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ. They look forward to partnering with pastors, leaders, and congregations across Michigan as they seek to strengthen the Church and advance the Kingdom of God.

Al’Lora Leonhardt is Alabama born and raised and grew up in a pastor’s home, surrounded by a rich heritage in the Church of God. For more than 35 years, she has had the joy and privilege of serving alongside her husband, Mark, in ministry. Together, they have served in many wonderful places, including 17 years as lead pastors in Ohio, Alabama, and South Carolina.
In 2022, Mark was appointed Administrative Bishop of Louisiana, and Al’Lora embraced the opportunity to serve alongside him. She now considers it a great joy to be assigned to Michigan and looks forward to all God has in store.

One of Al’Lora’s greatest passions is encouraging and strengthening women in ministry. She believes deeply that we need one another, and she loves creating opportunities for women to connect, encourage, and grow together.
Proverbs 24:11 and the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16–20 have become a guiding call on her life. Al’Lora considers it both a joy and a privilege to share the message of Jesus and welcomes every opportunity to preach or share.
Missions is also close to her heart. She participates in and leads local and world missions outreaches including missions trips to Mexico, Ecuador, and Tanzania. The children at Casa Hogar Alpha and Omega in Poza Rica, Mexico, have especially stolen her heart.
Beyond ministry, Al’Lora treasures time with her family and enjoys reading, shopping, Mexican food, and all things coffee. But perhaps her greatest joy of all is being “Didi” to her two grandbabies, Braxton and Hadley.

Erich has been married to his wife, Emily, since June 18, 2005. Erich and Emily have two sons, Jeremiah and Raymond. They have been in full  time ministry since February 2008, having served as Student Pastor for nearly ten years and Lead Pastor for seven years in Tennessee and North Dakota. Prior to coming to Michigan, the Lacks served as the Youth and Discipleship Director and Girl's Ministry Coordinator  for the North Central Region (NCR).

Erich is passionate about seeing this generation (or generations Z and Alpha) experience the power of God, presence of God, call of God, and authentic revival.

Erich and Emily are deeply passionate to see the students and young adults of Michigan experience the power of God, answer the call of God, and for students to experience all God has for them. God's hand is on this generation!

Erich's  life verse is Zechariah 4:6, "“This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:
 ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
 Says the LORD of hosts." 

Ron and Robin Schubert have been doing ministry in Michigan for... well, let's just say a really long time! They started out working with teenagers (brave souls), and now they're the lead pastors at LifePointe Church of God in Belleville.

Ron doesn't just pastor alongside his amazing wife Robin, he's also got his hands in a bunch of other leadership stuff with the Church of God in Michigan. His fellow pastors thought he was doing such a great job that they elected him to the Michigan Church of God State Council. Then in fall 2024, he took on the role of Evangelism Director for the Church of God in Michigan (because apparently he had some free time?).

In this role, Ron and the Evangelism Board keep things exciting with Pastor Connect weekends, Resurgence events, REACH Michigan, sports evangelism, and revival services all over the state. It's basically non-stop kingdom work.

Ron's known for his creative ministry approach and training, not just here in Michigan, but across the country and even around the world. But here's the real deal: The Schubert's say they are the ones who hit the jackpot because they get to serve in these roles and are blessed to work alongside such an incredible team of leaders and churches across Michigan.
