The other day here on our campground in Fenton, I saw my first robin, The robin is the bird which is indicative that winter is passing and that spring is on its way.  Personally, I love spring; for with spring comes new life. I especially love Easter Sunday, which is the primary holiday in spring. As a pastor, Easter weekend was my favorite church weekend of the year. The Good Friday service with its somber reflection of our Lord dying on the Cross to redeem mankind. And then what is better than Easter Sunday morning’s message: “He is risen”? Paul would capsulize the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:3,4 (NKJ) ”… That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that HE rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” Our Lord lives. Christianity is not a religion, but rather, it is a relationship with the Living Christ!

To our pastors and churches, I pray that this Easter is your greatest one ever, Make it count. Have an Easter Egg Hunt for the Community, and teach a lesson on the resurrection of Jesus; have a Good Friday service with communion; and have one or more Resurrection Sunday services. May you see souls saved and lives transformed this Easter 2019. He lives!
