2019 – 365 days of opportunity ahead of us. Every new year brings with it some excitement. While a new year may cause us to pause and wonder what lies ahead, as believers we should not fear nor dread the coming year. Isaiah in Chapter 41, verse 10 has a promise that I have used often for the new year. Notice Isaiah’s promise, “Fear not, I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand,” (41:10). I want to encourage each of you to go forward in 2019; make the most of this year. Go to greater height’s for God’s glory than you have ever gone. Remember this: you don’t have to be afraid because “God is with you.” What a promise! God never leaves us, and He will not leave us in 2019. Furthermore, God has promised to strengthen us, help us, and uphold us. Think about that for a moment. Yes, we are weak; but He is strong and will impart His strength to us. I need help every day of my life, but God has promised to help me. He will also help you. It is my prayer that the Church of God churches and pastors in Michigan reach more souls in 2019 than ever before. It is my prayer that will be cognizant of His presence, His strength, and His help.
