Jeffrey Lambert is undeniably a homegrown product of Michigan. Born and raised in his hometown of Monroe, most of his early years were spent on the pews of Michigan’s largest Church of God (Stewart Road). Coming from a faith-strong musical family, Jeff quickly developed a love for music early on studying a diversity of instruments including various wind instruments, keyboards instruments, drums, bass and guitar. He also excelled in music production, song writing, and later began attending college on a full-ride music scholarship while continuing to stay actively involved playing in several musical groups and at church.

Jeff met his wife Tammy in Monroe where they were soon married in August of 1992. From 1992 until 1995, Jeff and a group of fellow musicians/singers were signed to a music contract by a Nashville agency and traveled around the country performing with many of the industry’s legends. Hearing the call of God to a new season, Jeff and Tammy accepted their first ministry positions in Canton, MI. as worship leader, church secretary & youth pastors. In 1997, they returned home to Monroe Stewart Road Church of God to serve for over nine extremely fruitful years of full-time Youth Ministry as well as a variety of support roles within the church. During these years, Jeff continued to minister through music in many youth services, revivals, conferences, youth camps, outreach events, and ministry productions. With the creation of an outreach ministry team, God began opening doors for Jeff to visit public high schools as a motivational speaker bringing a complete multi-media and musical production with him.

In 2005, feeling the hand of God, Jeff (a newly Ordained Bishop) took a leap of faith and moved Tammy and their three children Tori, Tommy, and Alli to Stockbridge MI to serve as Lead Pastors of the Highest Praise Worship Center. It was in that small farm town in mid-Michigan that God richly blessed their ministry over the next six years. In 2011, again feeling the sovereign hand of God, they moved to Flint MI to serve as Lead Pastors of the Hill Creek Church (a leading church in Michigan). In this nation’s most violent crime-filled city, God is continually blessing and effectively ministering through Jeff, Tammy & their family to this day. Jeff also serves as the District Bishop over twelve churches in the East Central District.

Throughout the years, Jeff and Tammy have faithfully and continually served our denomination through a wide variety of positions and roles. From 2001–2003 they worked heavily with the Youth Department’s City-Vision Project to minister to inner cities in Michigan. In 2002, Jeff had the unique opportunity to serve as the Worship Leader for Articfest in Anchorage, Alaska. From 2003-2007 Jeff was elected by his peers to serve on the Michigan State Youth & Discipleship Board, serving as the chairman from 2005-2007. From 2004-2012, Tammy was employed by the Michigan State Executive Offices as the Administrative Assistant to the Youth & Discipleship Director. From 2008-2012 Jeff was again elected by his peers to serve on the Michigan Youth & Discipleship Board, serving as the chairman from 2010-2012. In 2012 Jeff accepted the election by his peers to serve on the Michigan State Council and effective May 1, 2013 was appointed by the State Council, Administrative Bishop, and the International Youth Department to serve Michigan in the role of State Youth and Discipleship Director. Also, effective May 1, 2013 Tammy was invited to return as the Administrative Assistant to the Youth Director/Department. The Lamberts are honored and excited to continue this legacy of serving the great people and youth of Michigan.
