Yesterday as I was walking across the Campground, I felt the first hint of fall winds; and I loved it. I realize that we will still have some hot days in Michigan this summer and even the possibility of Indian summer. However, the cooler temperatures yesterday and the north breezes let me know that a new season is on its way. I am excited about fall in Michigan – the color of leaves, cider, doughnuts, and most of all football.

Beyond the season changing in the natural, I feel that we in the Church of God Michigan are entering into a new season. Our Camp Meeting and Youth Camps this summer were filled with powerful moves of the Holy Spirit. Pastors and laity left recharged and refreshed. Church, I believe that revival has begun in Michigan. Why not Michigan? Our General Assembly worship services were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit; each message was anointed, uplifting, and challenging. I am calling for pastors, leaders, and laity to join with me in pursuing the presence of God. Let’s not miss this new season. Peter called it “the times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,” (Acts 3:19).

I hope to see you at “Heritage Day” Saturday, September 8, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Stewart Road Church of God, Monroe, Michigan. Michigan native, Pastor Danny Shortridge will be preaching; and his family “Adoration” will be singing. You will not want to miss this. Lunch will be served at noon. Then our bi-annual “Ministers’ Meeting” will be Thursday-Friday, October 11-12, 2018, at the Camp Ground.  We will have a corporate worship service Thursday evening at 7:00. Friday will be our business session.
